DESIGN AND RAPID PRODUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF SIGNAGE

Köpings Bad & Sport is a sports and cultural complex operated by Köping municipality. The facility, which opened in 2020, was designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of visual or functional impairment. FocusNeo was commissioned to create wayfinding that provides a safe, accessible environment along with an aesthetically pleasing, playful impression. Tactile solutions complying with the regulations for public environments were required. This included supplying the facilities with tactile signs as well as floor guides containing information and warning fields. Directories and glass surfaces on doors and partitions were given a playful, protective look with inspiring graphics from the world of sports. Together with the design firm, FocusNeo was tasked with formulating a wayfinding plan and signage programme to enhance the visual identity using signs made from sustainable materials. The majority of the signs are made of wood and decorative PVC-free graphics. After all was said and done, Köpings Bad & Sport received playfully appealing, publicly accessible wayfinding and passed the accessibility inspection with flying colours!
